What We’re Doing For Travelers Who Had Reservations Affected by Hurricane Irma

By on September 13, 2017 in Blog Posts | RTX Traveler Magazine

It has been heartbreaking to see the devastation wrought by Hurricane Irma in the Caribbean, as well as south Florida. We are fortunate that most other areas were spared the worst of the storm, but we also know that all resorts in Irma’s path are faced with many challenges in the coming days and weeks as they clean up and repair their properties.

We wanted to let you know that if you had an RTX exchange reservation in Florida that was cancelled or interrupted due to the hurricane, we will be crediting your usage as well as your exchange fee, regardless of whether you purchased our Exchange Protection Plan.

Please note that if you have an upcoming reservation to these areas checking in through Sunday, September 17:

  • If you did purchase our Exchange Protection Plan, then your usage and exchange fee will both be fully refunded as outlined in the plan.
  • If you did not purchase our Exchange Protection Plan, then we will return your usage so that it can be used for a future exchange reservation prior to the original deposit’s expiration date, and we will issue an account rebate in the amount of your exchange fee that can be applied to future exchange fees or other RTX reservations.

We know that many of our members also live in areas that were impacted by Irma, and we hope that you and your families, loved ones and homes are safe. We will continue to keep you in our thoughts. Please do not hesitate to contact us at 888-988-4RTX if you have any questions.
