We want to send a huge thank you to RTX, Patton Hospitality Management (PHM) and Resort Hospitality Solutions (RHS) employees as well as all of the local businesses who donated their goods and services toward our fifth annual Casino Night fundraiser, held on Dec. 7. With your help, you made this our most successful one yet. We officially raised $24,438, all of which will benefit the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministries’ (ABCCM) Christmas Angel program. This far exceeds our mark of a little more than $19,000 raised last year. In addition to RTX and PHM, employees from Zealandia Holding Company (ZHC), TSA Choice and Festiva Development Group (FDG) attended and contributed to the fundraising efforts.

The ABCCM Christmas Angel program provides gifts to hundreds of children in need who would otherwise be left out this Christmas. This program helps children in The Steadfast House, Military Families Resource Center, Supportive Services for Veteran Families, and several schools in Buncombe County. In addition, ABCCM always helps out local military families whose loved ones are deployed or who have just returned and are unable to find work.

With the money raised, we’ll be shopping for 100 children this week and delivering toys to ABCCM for distribution. It is our hope that this gesture can brighten Christmas day for deserving kids who would otherwise not receive presents.

We’re so grateful for all of these local businesses who contributed, and want to say a huge thank you for helping our fundraising efforts:
