2018 MURAL FEST Oct. 3
For twenty two days the aim is to turn Albuquerque into an International Arts District, featuring some of the world’s most renowned muralists alongside New Mexico’s best. There will also be community walls where emerging artists, youth and the entire family will have the opportunity to create a piece together.

The Dragon Lights Festival Oct. 5-Dec. 2
Formerly known as the New Mexico Chinese Lantern Festival, the festival features 30+ larger-than-life illuminated displays crafted by Chinese artisans. Our team of artisans hail from Zigong, Sichuan, China’s cultural capital for the ancient art of lantern-making. In addition, enjoy nightly performances, handicrafts, food and beverages.

RIO GRANDE ARTS & CRAFTS FESTIVAL: BALLOON FIESTA SHOW 10/5/2018, 10/6/2018, 10/7/2018, 10/12/2018, 10/13/2018, 10/14/2018 The festival features 200 fine artists and craftsmen from across the nation-creating a true one-of-a-kind celebration of the arts! Patrons will find a kaleidoscope of color and activity; perfectly complementing the hot air balloons floating overhead. Festival-goers can explore a lively market that features the works of 200 painters, sculptors, potters, photographers, jewelers and more.

ALBUQUERQUE INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FIESTA October 6, 2018 – October 14, 2018 For more than four decades, the first week in October brings the smells of roasting chiles and the beautiful, magical moving picture show of hot air balloons sailing silently through the crisp fall air. Guests from all over the world come to Albuquerque to celebrate ballooning. Literally hundreds of balloons will be taking flight from the Balloon Fiesta Park this year.
