Day 1: Beijing

Welcome to Beijing! Explore as you settle into your hotel room and prepare for the trip of a lifetime. This bustling city was the stage for China’s imperial history for a thousand years and vestiges of its ancient culture are evident around every corner.

Day 2: Beijing

Take a private guided excursion to the Great Wall, which once stretched 4,000 miles across China’s northern terrain. Walk along the wall and take in the stunning views of this mammoth fortification and the surrounding mountain scenery.

Day 3: Beijing

Two historic stops mark your third day in Beijing. Begin your private guided sightseeing at Tiananmen Square, a 109-acre site and location of the famous “Tank Man” photograph. Tour the adjacent Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest palace complex. Once the home of China’s great emperors, today it showcases ancient Chinese architecture, landscaped gardens, and displays of rare art and artifacts.

Day 4: Beijing–Hong Kong

Travel to exciting Hong Kong on day four of your trip.

Day 5: Hong Kong

Spend the morning on a scenic cable car ride up Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of the city, a traditional Sampan boat ride on the harbor, and a visit to Stanley Market, where you’ll find narrow streets filled with Chinese clothing, arts and crafts.

Day 6: Hong Kong

Day six is yours to explore Hong Kong and the surrounding areas on your own. Take an excursion to see the Giant Buddha on Lantau Island, explore nearby Macau, visit Temple Street night market, or take a sunset cruise on the harbor.

Day 7: Hong Kong

Say farewell to the Orient as your journey comes to an end after morning breakfast.
