Spring Health Tips and Hints | RTX Traveler Magazine

Eat seasonally.

Baby greens are excellent for bone health and the digestive system, increasing digestive juices and enzymes in your liver, pancreas and stomach.

Get a physical.

Many healthy adults skip their annual physical, which is a simple way to identify any problems and make sure you are prepared for the increased activity that usually happens in the spring and summer.

Become an early bird.

Studies have shown that people who wake up earlier are healthier than those who snooze through the morning, plus you’ll get a better dose of needed vitamin D.

Walk it out.

With warming weather, a lunchtime walk can be a great way to enjoy the weather, the blooming flowers and get the recommended amount of daily exercise.

Keep allergies in check.

Before heading outdoors, check to see what the pollen count is in your area and be sure to talk with your health care professional about options for medication and holistic treatments.
