Exploring what inspires Sedona

Many visitors are drawn to Sedona for the well-known spiritual aspects of the area. The four vortexes are said to be energy centers that can heal the body and the soul. The dramatic landscape including the rich color of the red rock formations and the lush evergreen vegetation are said to enhance creativity and inspire hope and renewal.

Center for the New Age: Just across the street from Los Abrigados, the Center for the New Age is best explored with an open mind and a light heart. Here you can shop for crystals, gemstones or other healing objects for a unique souvenir or gift, attend an event or class in the New Age Learning Center or get a reading from one of 16 different psychics who practice here. You can also book vortex tours and UFO tours through the Center. Son Silver West: This eclectic gallery just south of Sedona is hard to miss with so many colorful outdoor sculptures, yard trinkets and nostalgic signs displayed in the large area in front of the building. It is well worth a stop for affordable and unique art, pottery, jewelry, home décor and just about anything else you can imagine. You could easily spend several hours exploring the large outdoor and indoor displays finding the perfect gift or souvenir. Son Silver West is a quirky and more affordable alternative to the higher-end galleries closer to the center of town.
A Spa For You: This boutique day spa in West Sedona is known for its signature massage packages including the Sedona Experience and the Sedona Glow, where you can work with a therapist to blend different styles of bodywork and massage to suit your needs. Aromatherapy, Japanese facials, hot stone massages, body wraps, sports massage and more make this one of Sedona’s best-reviewed spas, with prices that most resort spas can’t beat.

7 Centers Yoga Arts: Sedona’s stunning scenery and spiritual vibe makes it an ideal atmosphere for practicing yoga, and the 7 Centers Yoga Arts claims to be the first yoga studio established here. While much of the focus is on their yoga teacher training courses, they also have two to three classes per day, seven days a week, which are open to the public.  In addition to the wide range of yoga options, you can get a consultation or from take a cooking class with an Ayurvedic chef.
