For those interested in Nordic skiing and snowshoeing, the Rangeley Lakes Trails Center has 35 miles of set tracks and skating lanes with terrain for everyone. They also offer lessons, rentals and special events. Rev up your snowmobile motors and head out on 150 miles of superbly-groomed trails maintained by state-of-the-art grooming equipment. It’s New England’s premier trail system, and it’s a great way to see Maine’s winter beauty. The trail system connects to the statewide network and on to New Hampshire and Canada, so you have room to roam. Like ice fishing or ice skating? Take your pick of any of the region’s lakes. Several outfitters and guide services are waiting to help you land a nice one through the ice.
