RTX Resort Spotlight |Banff Gate Mountain Resort

Over the last year, RTX has increased its presence in Canada, with a more active involvement in the Canadian Resort Development Association (CRDA) and partnerships with several properties throughout the country. We are thrilled to offer beautiful Canadian destinations to our members, and we welcome our growing base of Canadian members to explore all that RTX has to offer.

There aren’t many words that can accurately describe the grandeur of Banff, located in the Canadian Rockies. Every turn is a potential postcard memory, every vista a magnificent sight. Marvel at the jagged, snow-capped peaks looming before you. Be amazed at the dense pine woods, the emerald mountain lakes and abundant wildlife all around you. Welcome to beautiful Banff.

Located adjacent to Banff National Park and 15 minutes outside the town of Canmore, RTX members are invited to stay at the Banff Gate Mountain Resort, a rustic, natural retreat in the majestic pines of Pigeon Mountain at the foot of Lougheed and Windtower Mountains. The resort is located in true wilderness at the end of an old fire road, with abundant wildlife roaming the valley nearby. See deer, elk, coyotes, bears, and even cougar if you’re lucky. Get inspired with a challenging hike right out the back door – Centennial Ridge is the highest maintained trail in the Canadian Rockies and offers incredible views and an elevation gain of more than 5,000 feet.

The resort itself boasts 46 fully appointed chalets immersed in natural peace, quiet, and wilderness. Walk back in time and visit these classic A-frame cabins that harken back to the area’s original ski lodge roots. Each one sleeps six and has a large deck, full kitchen, and barbecue grill. After enjoying all the natural activities that Banff has to offer, relax in a newly-remodeled indoor heated pool, hot tubs and a family lodge.
