Lake Havasu boasts 400 miles of coastline and 300 days of sunshine per year. It’s the place to be for boating and water recreation. And they have an In N Out Burger. Everywhere you look there’s hiking, biking, fishing, golfing, off roading, shopping, dining and boating in the desert heat. Visit during one of the many boating race events and poker runs and you can stretch out on the beach at Bridgwater Channel and check out million dollar boats idling by, passing under the famed London Bridge.

The main attraction here is Lake Powell, a 108,000 square foot reservoir lake on the Colorado River, located between Utah and Arizona. It’s a water playground filled with beautiful red canyons and coves to explore. Highlights include Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, the breathtaking view of Horseshoe Bend, and the mysterious and otherworldly Antelope Canyon.

North of the Colorado River lies St. George, a beautiful desert area with some of the most unique landscapes in the country. Enter Zion National Park and have your breath taken away by the looming red canyon walls and expansive landscape. Take your pic of hiking, climbing, canyoneering, hot air balloon tours, skydiving, scenic tours, fishing, water sports, and biking. It’s a natural desert wonderland.

Laughlin, NV

Laughlin, Nevada
Laughlin is known for recreation and relaxation along the river, sort of a mini Las Vegas with river activities and scenery built in. It started as a small mining town then transformed into its current iteration: a desert community of casinos and fun, offering nine hotel/casinos, 60 restaurants, two museums, a 34-lane bowling center, and an outlet shopping mall with boutiques, spas and salons.
