Mingle with celebrities and get up close to sharks.

One of the most popular vacation destinations in the world for families, Orlando is packed with enough family attractions to keep everyone entertained for months, but most people only have about a week to experience all of central Florida’s fun, and many flock to the big theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Epcot Center. However, there are tons of attractions beyond the theme parks that provide fun for everyone. Many of these are located along Orlando’s International Drive, or I-Drive. One of the newest attraction complexes on this stretch provides the perfect way to spend a half day with the whole family. Visit Madame Tussaud’s and the SeaLife Aquarium to get up close to life-like celebrity likenesses and explore the wonders of ocean creatures.

All three attractions are entered through the same complex, which also features a food court with a variety of options and the entrance to the Orlando Eye. There’s also a display and ticket office for LEGOLAND Florida here, and combination tickets for any two, three or all four attractions can be purchased through your RTX account at a discount that will also add to your Earned Rewards Credits.

For more than 200 years, Madame Tussaud’s has been providing people with a unique experience of the powerful and famous through lifelike wax figurines that are created as exact replicas of celebrities, world leaders, athletes, musicians and historic figures. With locations in cities worldwide, the Orlando exhibit gives visitors a blend of an A-list experience with some education and history. Learn about how the figures are made, and have a wax replica of your own hand made right there.

Sit next to an impressively tall Abraham Lincoln, stand next to Neil Armstrong and sit at President Barak Obama’s desk as Martin Luther King, Jr. stands nearby. See Albert Einstein, Andy Warhol, Steve Jobs an Thomas Edison all in one room before heading in to match up with sports stars like Muhammed Ali, Serena Williams, Shaquille O’Neal and more.

You’ll become even more star struck as you walk among Taylor Swift, One Direction, Miley Cyrus and Michael Jackson in the musician’s room. Take selfies with television stars like Neil Patrick Harris and talk show host Jimmy Fallon and interact with movie characters like E.T., Katniss Everdeen and more. The final display is a red carpet experience with some of the biggest stars of our time, from Will Smith and Samuel L. Jackson to Angelina Jolie and Anne Hathaway.

The exhibit is relatively small, making it easily doable with kids, and there are places to rest throughout. Spend as much time as you want posing with the figures for selfies and family photos, making fun memories to last for years to come.

The Sea Life Aquarium is geared toward children but is fascinating for adults as well. Start the journey in a room completely surrounded on all sides and from above by a tank full of fish and hear an introduction to the aquarium before starting your adventure. Little ones will be given a scavenger hunt to find clues throughout the aquarium’s quiz trail, and will get stamps from the staff that they can exchange for a prize at the end of their visit.

In addition to more than 30 beautiful displays containing more than 5,000 sea creatures, visitors can experience a touch tank, a 360-degree ocean tunnel, a children’s soft play area, and more. While the kids enjoy the interactive and immersive aspects of the aquariums, parents will be delighted to learn about the conservation initiatives that focus on breeding, rescuing and protecting marine life.

From sharks and sea turtles to jellyfish and seahorses, the fascinating underwater creatures of the world’s oceans will delight the entire family.
