Island Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

South Padre is small in size but big on flavor – with the Mexican border immediately south of the island, and the plentiful waters of the Gulf right there, it’s the perfect recipe for some diverse and delicious food selections.

Chillito Pikin

This casual taqueria is a great place to stop if you’re hungry from beach activities. The size of their burritos will impress even the most accomplished big eater – they’re simply huge! A variety of Tex-mex offerings, tortas, seafood, fish tacos, and more round out the menu, and you can top it all off with authentic bottles of Mexican Coca-Cola.

Dirty Al’s

This roadhouse on the south end of the island is great for an after fishing fill up on fresh gulf shrimp. They advertise the best fried shrimp in the world, and we won’t argue that. Also on the menu are oysters prepared many different ways, fried items, hot wings, fresh fish, seafood botanas, burgers, po-boys, and plenty of cold beer.

Yummies Bistro

This breakfast and brunch café will set you up right in the morning with apple wheat pancakes, gulf shrimp and grits, eggs benedict, Tex-mex scramblers, and barbacoa plates on Sundays. They also have a good variety of teas, frappes, smoothies, and hot and cold coffee delights to satisfy even the most distinguishing connoisseur.

Sea Ranch Restaurant and Bar

When date night calls, Sea Ranch answers. This is the place with the finest and freshest seafood, hand cut Angus steaks, pastas, and delectable desserts. Enjoy a signature Sea Ranch Swirl Margarita in the lounge, then view a magical sunset over the bay from your table.

Padre Island Brewing Company

Have a pint, a burger, sandwich, pizza or seafood at Padre Island Brewing Company, which has been handcrafting beer since 1995. They’ve got a variety of craft brews, as well as vegetarian options. Conveniently located in the center of the island.
