Have It All: What Is All-Inclusive?

All inclusive resorts are pretty simple, but there are still some ins and outs you should know before you decide to book this style of vacation, which is popular at tropical destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. All inclusives are no different than regular resorts in the fact that they vary in price, amenities, and audience. Some are meant for romantic couples getaways, while others invite the whole family. Call an RTX representative before you book if you have questions.

What is all inclusive?

All inclusive means the cost of the room includes all meals, beverages (including liquor,) taxes, tips, and on-resort activities. Think of it like a cruise ship, but on land. It’s great for simplicity and value: you don’t have to worry about where to go for dinner, and there are always things to do to stay active or let the kids burn off energy. (Think pool aerobics, sand volleyball, or kayak rentals.) Some all inclusive resorts even include room service and a stocked mini fridge. Most will have a buffet (or several) for all meals, as well as some sit down dinner restaurants, several bars, and possibly a nightclub or after dinner entertainment.
