The Royal Kaanapali Course

This 18-hole resort course is par 71 at 6,700 yards. The venerable Robert Trent Jones, Sr., created a certified golf challenge when he laid out this West Maui course. The spectacular 18th hole demands a shot over water and is said to be one of the toughest holes in the islands.

The Kaanapali Kai Course

This was a piece-of-cake executive layout until Arthur Jack Snyder got his hands on it in 1977 and added some real golf gusto. It was later renovated by Hawaii’s most prolific golf course architect, Robin Nelson. This is a good one for players of all levels with a par 70 at 6,400 yards.

Maui Nui Golf Club

About halfway between Lahaina and Haleakala, this public course in Kihei is a par 71. With ocean views from every hole, high handicappers will have a great game if they’re not distracted by breaching whales or challenging wind. The course was previously named the Elleair Maui Golf Club.
