Wisconsin Dells, WI

If you haven’t made it to the Wisconsin Dells yet, this family-friendly destination is a must. Choose your own adventure at a water park or theme park, or get out into nature with a boat ride or trail ride. Leave the kids at home and enjoy a local winery, gaming at a casino or an adult-only comedy show. Or take the whole family to the area’s musuems, attractions and all-ages shows. However you want to experience it, the Dells make a fantastic vacation spot throughout the year!

Fort Lauderdale, FL

While the beach is the obvious attraction in this south Florida locale, there is plenty to do when you’ve had enough of the sand and sun. Families love downtown’s Museum of Discovery and Science and a stroll along nearby Las Olas Waterfront. Take a boat tour to see multi-million dollar homes along the waterfront, or visit the Bonnet House and Hugh Taylor Birch State Park for a dose of history. At the east end of Alligator Alley, Fort Lauderdale is only a half hour away from airboat tours in the Everglades.

Scottsdale, AZ

Get cowboy chic in Scottsdale where you can attend a Native American celebration, browse high-end art galleries and boutiques, and sample the delicious flavors of Southwestern cuisine. Visit Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home Taliesin West, or take in a spring training game and hit the famous baseball landmarks around town. See the desert by horseback, or hike Camelback Mountain for stunning sunrise views. Enjoy the city’s museums and take in the public art. There’s always a golf course or spa (and often both) within a few minutes from anywhere in Scottsdale.

Carlsbad, CA

This seaside town is close enough to San Diego for a day trip to enjoy all of the attractions the city has to offer; however, Carlsbad has plenty to keep visitors occupied. Legoland California is a must-see for families with young children, and the Museum of Making Music provides plenty of hands-on experiences. The Leo Carillo Ranch is a fun way to make the most of the ideal weather while exploring the home of the man known as Pancho in “The Cisco Kid.” Of course, the beach is always an ideal way to enjoy a vacation whether you’re surfing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or simply relaxing in the sand.
