What restaurants do you recommend to guests? Conch Café in Garden City, Gulfstream Café in Garden City, Lee’s Inlet Kitchen in Murrells Inlet, Flo’s Place in Murrells Inlet, and Drunken Jack’s and Wahoo’s, both located at the Marshwalk in Murrells Inlet.

Jennifer’s recommendations for visitors on things to do while visiting:

Brookgreen Gardens and Huntington Beach State Park, including Atalaya Castle inside the state park. The Hammock Shops in Pawley’s Island, Hudson’s Flea Market in Garden City, Front Street Shops in Georgetown, the Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, and Pirate’s Voyage. Also recommended: Tanger Outlets, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, and Family Kingdom Amusement Park.

What do your regular guests say they like most about visiting the Grand Strand?

The ocean and the shopping. Brookgreen Gardens is also always on the to do list along with the theaters.

Do you have a favorite memory of either when you first moved to the area, or just a great time that you’ve had while there?

I really enjoy riding my bike from Murrells Inlet, through Huntington Beach State Park all the way down to Litchfield. Huntington has a paved path through their land that walkers, joggers and bikers can all enjoy. I also love touring Atalaya Castle that is at Huntington. There’s a great history surrounding the castle and is a beautiful place for photos!
