WE’RE EXCELLENT HOSTS
There’s nothing like the warmth and service Mexicans offer their guests. And there’s nothing like a “Mexican welcome.”

INCREDIBLE DESTINATIONS
Mexico has incredible destinations of all kinds, from sun-and-sand coastal resort areas to colonial destinations to the Magical Villages. Every one of them offers a different ambience, eco-system and entertainment.

EXCELLENT HOTEL AND RESORT INFRASTRUCTURE
Mexico offers a highly diverse supply of lodging. In every destination tourists will find luxury hotels, boutique hotels, small hotels or extraordinary developments with more than 1,000 rooms, theme hotels, niche hotels and more, with a majority backed by prestigious hotel brands.

HISTORICAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES
In addition to our extraordinary destinations, the country has a great number of world-renowned historical and archaeological sites like Mexico City’s historic downtown, the Alhóndiga de Granaditas in Guanajuato, archaeological sites at Chichén Itzá, Tulúm, Monte Albán, Palenque, Uxmal, Cobá and Teotihuacán.

THE BEST ALL-INCLUSIVE PROGRAMS
Mexico’s all-inclusive resorts have earned a reputation for offering the best food and beverages with extraordinarily high quality. All-inclusive resorts offer buffet and a la carte meals, premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, activities and entertainment almost 24 hours a day.

GASTRONOMY
Mexico’s cuisine is admired throughout the world and is immensely varied, changing from village to village and state to state, so visitors can discover a variety they could never have imagined. Much of Mexico’s gastronomic tradition is the product of centuries, even millennia, of cultural heritage. Our traditional mole has as many different varieties as there are regions of Mexico. Our tortillas are legend, as are our famous fiery-hot salsas, tacos and tamales, a small sampling of our vast culinary wealth.

BIODIVERSITY
Mexico is one of the most important countries in the world in terms of global biodiversity, and is the second most varied in its ecosystems. Ten percent of the world’s known species are located in Mexico, even though it occupies only 2% of the planet’s surface. Our territory contains 177 Natural Protected Areas, six areas declared “Natural Heritage of Humanity,” and one area that UNESCO has declared “Mixed Natural and Cultural Heritage.”

CULTURAL HERITAGE
We have more than 3,000 years of recorded history and there are at least 68 indigenous groups which make up a little over 12% of the nation’s population, equivalent to 16 million people, who strive to preserve and share their history and their cultural roots. Mexico is considered one of the 10 most important countries for cultural diversity, where ancient civilizations like Mayan, Aztec, Náhuatl, Yaqui and Zapotec still make their mark felt today. We are also the country of mariachi music and flamboyant charro rodeo riders.
CONNECTIVITY
Because of its geographic location, Mexico is strategically connected with the leading sources of tourism. Our country has more than 370 domestic airline routes and 450 international routes. Last year almost 40 million travelers arrived by air on international flights. There are 63 international airports in Mexican territory.

MEXICO AND VACATION OWNERSHIP
Mexico ranks second in the world in terms of sale of memberships and supply of timeshare hotels or resorts, coming in only behind the United States, and followed by Canada. Most experts, however, consider our country number one in terms of the quality of supply and quality of its service.

Mexico’s main timeshare destinations are:
• Cancún, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen
• Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta
• Los Cabos
• Mazatlán
• Acapulco
• Ixtapa – Zihuatanejo
