A Foundation of Success

Cornerstone 4Efficiency, a focus on customer service, and a new technology bump were key factors in getting RTX onto the short list of nominations for the 2017 Cornerstone Award, presented by the Canadian Vacation Ownership Association (CVOA.) In September, RTX was presented the prestigious award at the annual Vacation Ownership Conference in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, put on by the CVOA.

“We took a good look under the hood at RTX and we saw that the level of time invested was very great to reach that level of quality,” said Greg Crist, CEO of the National Timeshare Owners Association (NTOA) and Vice Chairman of CVOA. “We put the nomination in, and there were many others who were well qualified, but my position is that RTX was head and shoulders above the rest.”

The prominent Cornerstone Award recognizes an organization or individual that seized an opportunity, created a game changing value proposition, achieved outstanding results and commercial success, or of which will have a lasting positive impact on vacation ownership. Broad categories of recognition include project excellence, transaction excellence, innovation, HOA/owner relations, communications/public relations/marketing and sales, rental programs, green/sustainable programs, and community service and philanthropy.

Cornerstone Award“It is wonderful to be recognized for a lot of our efforts that typically do not get noticed, and by an organization with the history and esteem as CVOA,” said Justin Hunter, vice president of operations at RTX. “Because of RTX’s position in the market, we are forced to think outside of the box in our operations and marketing, and to have others in the industry take notice is a great reward for our staff that has worked so hard to put it all together.”

Crist said a basis for the award being given to RTX is the new phone system installed at the company this fall, which lowers call times and increases efficiency, adding up to customers getting what they want, faster.

“This is a well-deserved award, and it shows RTX’s dedication to be innovative, creative, and deliver timely solutions to the customer,” said Crist.

CVOA is Canada’s only association dedicated to representing the interests of the vacation ownership and resort development industries. Since its founding in 1980 (originally as CRDA), the organization has become Canada’s preeminent industry association representing all forms of vacation ownership.
