Hurricane Dorian Update | Exercise Caution When Traveling

By on September 6, 2019 in Blog Posts | RTX Traveler Magazine

Hello, RTX travelers. It seems the worst of Hurricane Dorian is over, but the storm is still hovering off the coast of the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Florida and South Carolina got away with mostly minor flooding and wind damage. We are still waiting for a report from Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.

We want to remind everyone who is still planning to vacation this week: plan your route accordingly. A lot of rain came down, and there are sure to be flooded areas and road closures headed into the Myrtle Beach area. You will also be sharing roadways with people returning to their homes after evacuating, so keep that in mind. We urge caution and patience when driving in. Please check the South Carolina Dept. of Transportation site for information on closures and delays into Myrtle Beach.

Florida’s roads appear to be flowing smoothly. Click on Florida 511 for the latest information.

We thank you for your patience in the wake of this storm.
